Ketamine Infusion

  Conditions treated: Anxiety, MDD, PTSD, OCD, Suicidal ideation.  

  Ketamine is also useful to treat pain. We are NOT currently using doses high enough for pain relief.

a. Ketamine

Ketamine: $400 per infusion for the first series (6 infusions). 

Most insurance companies are not covering Ketamine because it is considered an experimental treatment for mental health. 

There are a few scholarships for patients on Medicare and Medicaid. Because there are few scholarships, the wait time might be very long.

      1. Cost: $400 per infusion for the first series (6 infusions). Last infusion is free if paid for the series on first appointment. 

           Long term care is 350 per infusion. 

      2. Most insurance companies are not covering Ketamine because it is considered an experimental treatment for mental health. 

              We are not accepting insurance at this time. 

      3. There are a few scholarships available for patients on Medicare and Medicaid. 

           Due to the small number of available scholarships, the wait time is quite long.

      4. How many infusions will you need?

             - This is individualized based on the results. However, most people benefit from six. 

               initial infusions and maintenance as needed. Cost for maintenance infusion is $400.

b. Esketamine (SPRAVATO®)

      1. Pending REMS approval

      2. Expected to start in May 2023
